3 day hike in the Cévennes/Mont Lozère (for family)

Castagnols ---- Le Lauzas (11 km):
Walk along the peaks and ridges with panoramic views over the Cévennes and Mont Lozère. Reach the "Mas du Lauzas", traditional Cévennes house, nestling in a valley next to a river.
- Le Lauzas: guesthouse and B&Bs. Table d'hôte. Bathing in the river.
Le Lauzas ---- Le Rey (8 km):
Walk along the river. Ford it and walk through forests before reaching "L'Auberge du Rey".
- Le Rey: B&Bs and yurt. Table d'hôte.
Le Rey ---- Castagnols (11 km):
Height difference: ascent 380 m - descent 1600 m. Walk through woods, on crest trails, with amazing views.
- Castagnols: guesthouse, B&B and table d’hôte. Campsite.
3 day hike on Mont Lozère (for family)

Castagnols ----- Mas Nouveau (10 km):
Walk through chestnut trees down to Vialas village. Walk up to the South side of Mont Lozère. Cross the Montclar pass (panoramic view), walk through landscapes of mountain streams, cow meadows and granite rocks.
- Mas Nouveau: B&Bs and guesthouse formula. Table d'hôte. Sauna, jacuzzi.
Mas Nouveau ----- Le Mas de la Barque (11 km):
Walk up to the plateau of Mont Lozère. Magnificient views over the Cèze valley, Cévennes mountains, up to the sea and the Alpes mountains. Reach Le Mas de la Barque between moors and meadows.
- Le Mas de la Barque: Rooms and meals at the inn "l'Auberge du Commandeur".
Le Mas de la Barque ----- Castagnols (15 km):
Countryside: forests of beech, bathing in river, hamlets and villages, panoramic views ***.
Beautiful trail through the Gourdouze valley before walking down to Vialas. Take a refreshing dip in the Luech before making your way back.
- Castagnols: guesthouse, B&B and table d'hôte. Campsite.

Included:
2 night full pension, donkey hire (1 donkey for 3 people) with full equipment, preparation before departure, topographical guide, accomodation and food for the donkey, reservations, accomodation prepaid.
Programme:
Arrival in Castagnols on the day before the walk. At 5 pm: instructions on walking with a donkey and about the route chosen. Meal and overnight at Castagnols.
Departure in the morning, afternoon arrival at the target guesthouse.
Return to Castagnols around 5 pm the last day.
